Government Announces Another Major Hike in Petroleum Product Prices Today

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — OGRA has announced yet another major increase in the prices of petroleum products today. According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 4.10 and the price of diesel by Rs 6.41 per liter. The new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 384.34 and the price of diesel at Rs 415.83.

The new prices will take effect from 12 midnight tonight. Furthermore, a weekly decline in the country’s oil and gas production has been recorded.

According to PPIS and industry statistics, in the week ending September 8, the country’s average daily crude oil production was recorded at 67,684 barrels, which is one percent lower than the previous week. In the previous week, the country’s average daily crude oil production was recorded at 68,797 barrels. Similarly, in the week ending September 8, the country’s average daily gas production was recorded at 3,008 MMCFD, which is three percent lower than the previous week. In the previous week, the country’s average daily gas production was recorded at 3,088 MMCFD. According to the statistics, in the week ending September 8, OGDC’s average daily crude oil production was 33,657 barrels and average daily gas production was 636 MMCFD; PPL’s average daily crude oil production was 12,396 barrels and gas 597 MMCFD; POL’s average daily crude oil production was 4,079 barrels and gas 49 MMCFD; while Mari Petroleum’s average daily crude oil production was recorded at 1,076 barrels and average daily gas production at 867 MMCFD.
