Minister Zahoor Ahmed Baledi Reviews Development Projects in Turbat, Urges Expedited Progress

Turbat, Balochistan:A crucial meeting on development projects was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Planning and Development, Mir Zahoor Ahmed Baledi. The meeting included key figures such as Deputy Commissioner Kech, Bashir Ahmed Barchi, Engineer Qasim Gachki from the Turbat City Development Project, Engineer Abdul Rauf Baloch from the Urban Planning and Development Department, Engineer Obaid Shad from B\&R, and other relevant officials and contractors.

During the meeting, the provincial minister was briefed in detail about ongoing projects, including the Turbat City Development Project, Urban Planning, B\&R, and other developmental schemes. The current status of projects, particularly in Tehsil Belaida and the broader Kech District, as well as existing obstacles and pending issues, were discussed in depth.

Minister Baledi emphasized the need for swift progress in all development initiatives, directing that work on these projects be accelerated to ensure their completion within the stipulated timeframe. He made it clear that any form of negligence or delay in development projects would not be tolerated, stating in no uncertain terms, “Any carelessness or delays in these projects will be strictly dealt with.”

Additionally, the Minister instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Kech to regularly monitor all developmental schemes and present immediate reports on stalled or delayed projects. He stressed that contractors failing to meet their deadlines should be issued warnings, with strict legal action to follow if they continued to fall short of their responsibilities.

The meeting also focused on ongoing power supply issues in the Kech district, particularly the extended electricity load-shedding. Minister Baledi held discussions with WAPDA officials to explore potential solutions, urging the need for a strategic approach to resolve the power supply problems permanently.

This meeting underlined the provincial government’s commitment to ensuring the timely completion of development projects and addressing critical infrastructure issues in Balochistan.
