Quetta’s Pink and Green Bus Project to Provide Improved Travel Facilities for Women and Citizens

Quetta, Balochistan:The Balochistan Secretary of Transport has traveled abroad to oversee the procurement of buses for the much-anticipated Pink and Green Bus Project, which aims to improve travel facilities for women and the general public in Quetta. The provincial government had announced the addition of four Pink Buses for female passengers and four more Green Buses for citizens in the previous fiscal year’s budget. However, despite a year passing, the project has yet to be completed.

According to transport department officials, the Secretary of Transport is currently abroad to finalize the purchase of the buses. The authorities are optimistic that the Pink and Green Buses will arrive in Quetta within the next month.

Currently, Quetta operates eight Green Buses, which serve approximately 8,000 passengers daily. The expansion of these bus services is expected to significantly improve public transportation and ease travel congestion in the city.

The project, once completed, will not only enhance commuting facilities but also promote safer, more efficient travel for the residents of Quetta, particularly women.
