National Party Pays Tribute to Martyrs Mola Bakhsh Dashti and Habib Jalib Baloch for Their Democratic Struggle

Quetta:The National Party held a condolence reference in memory of Shaheed Mola Bakhsh Dashti and Shaheed Habib Jalib Baloch, honoring their lifelong commitment to democratic values and principled politics. Party President Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch paid rich tribute to both leaders, describing them as symbols of integrity, wisdom, and steadfast political character.
Speaking at the gathering, Dr. Baloch highlighted that despite facing numerous challenges and opportunities, both leaders remained unwavering in their principles. He urged political workers to follow the legacy of leaders like Mir Ghous Bakhsh Bizenjo, Gul Khan Naseer, and the two martyrs, by embracing seriousness and integrity in their political conduct.
He warned against the growing extremism on both sides of the political divide and stressed the importance of political dialogue and reconnecting youth with books and ideological roots. “Our elders nurtured political maturity through reading and engagement in democratic processes,” he stated. Dr. Baloch reaffirmed that the National Party’s stance is clear — the party believes in achieving rights through democratic means.
Provincial President Aslam Baloch also addressed the reference, describing the martyrs as icons of continuous struggle. He praised Mola Bakhsh Dashti for his deep understanding of the political landscape and his vision for defending the coastline and resources of Balochistan through democratic politics.
He criticized the historical attempts to undermine the authority provided under the 1973 Constitution and expressed concern that efforts are once again underway to revive the “One Unit” system, which he warned could have dangerous consequences for national unity.
Chairman of BSO Pajar, Bohair Saleh Baloch, termed the sacrifices of the two martyrs a political legacy for future generations, particularly for student activists. Other speakers included Advocate Changez Hai Baloch, Chairman Mehrab Baloch, Nasrullah Shahwani, Comrade Rehmatullah Parkani, and Naeem Bangulzai.
The session was moderated by District General Secretary Riaz Zehri.
