Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir sarfraz bugti, Lays the Foundation Stone for Sui to Kashmore Road Project

Quetta: The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir sarfraz bugti, laid the foundation stone for the Sui to Kashmore Road project on Monday, expressing that this project would transform the fate of Dera Bugti and the surrounding areas. The road is expected to improve transportation, boost local economies, and connect Balochistan’s underdeveloped regions with the national mainstream, which is the current government’s top priority.
In a ceremony held for the groundbreaking of the road project, Mir sarfraz bugti stated that this road would not only improve transportation but also strengthen the local economy. “This road is a path towards development, prosperity, and stability that will bring positive changes to the local population’s lives,” he said.
He also emphasized that the Sui to Kashmore road project is the first major transportation initiative in Dera Bugti district, which will facilitate the transportation of agricultural products to markets, create employment opportunities, and open doors for local development.
The Chief Minister further highlighted that the provincial government is committed to including all marginalized areas of Balochistan, including Dera Bugti, in the development process, with practical steps already being taken. He assured that the Sui to Kashmore road project is not just a road, but a significant step towards economic and social upliftment in the region.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Petroleum, Mian Khan Baloch, Chairman of the Dera Bugti District Council, Mir Ghulam Nabi Shambani, and other local leaders.
During the event, the Project Director provided detailed information about the project’s utility, completion timeline, and cost.
Mir Sardar Baloch emphasized that the current government is focused on empowering youth, providing jobs based on merit, and modernizing key sectors like transportation, water resources, and agriculture. He reiterated the goal of transforming Balochistan into a peaceful, prosperous, and self-sufficient province that would play a crucial role in Pakistan’s overall development.
He also directed relevant authorities to complete the Sui to Kashmore Road project within the stipulated time frame and ensure that its benefits directly reach the people.
Earlier, Chief Minister Mir Sardar Baloch arrived in Sui for a one-day visit, where he was warmly welcomed by tribal leaders and locals. Children presented flowers to the Chief Minister during his visit, and he showed affection towards them. A large number of tribal leaders, local representatives, and citizens attended the event and expressed their joy at the commencement of the project.
