Actress Humaira Asghar Sent Messages to 10 People Before Death — No One Responded, Reveals Iqrar ul Hassan

Lahore:Prominent TV host Iqrar ul Hassan has made a heartbreaking revelation regarding the death of actress and model Humaira Asghar. In a video posted on Instagram, he disclosed that the actress attempted to contact 10 individuals before her death — but not a single one responded.
According to Iqrar, mobile phone data shows that on October 7, 2024, Humaira sent messages to people including her brother, and individuals named Salman, Mohsin, Imran, and Hassan. She first sent a simple “Hello,” followed by another message saying, “Hello, I want to talk to you.” Sadly, none of the recipients replied, not even after three days.
He revealed that her phone remained active for three days before it was switched off, suggesting that her death likely occurred between October 7 and 10. What’s most alarming is that her own brother was among the people she reached out to, yet he also failed to respond or check on her.
Iqrar further said that police investigations revealed soaked clothes were found in the bathroom attached to her room. Over time, the clothes had deteriorated and the water had evaporated — signs pointing to a timeline of several months. Authorities suspect she may have slipped while doing laundry and died due to the fall.
Police found a cigarette pack and filter in her room, which raised questions. However, Iqrar clarified that she was not known to be a smoker, and it’s likely the items belonged to someone else.
Despite receiving messages from other people, including a close friend and the building’s security guard after October 10, none were among those she had tried to contact herself.
Iqrar stated that Humaira was in good health, regularly exercised for three hours a day according to her gym trainer, and was not involved in drug use. Fortunately, she had written down her device passwords in a diary, allowing investigators to access her phone and laptop for clues.
So far, five people have had their statements recorded, while 63 others will be questioned.
Humaira Asghar’s highly decomposed body was discovered on July 8, 2025, in her apartment in Karachi’s Defence area after a court order to vacate the flat due to non-payment of rent. Although the body was initially believed to be a month old, post-mortem results confirmed it was 8–10 months old.
A special investigation team has been formed to determine whether her death was natural, a suicide, or a possible homicide. New details continue to emerge as the case unfolds.
