Sweden Announces Reopening of Visa Services for Pakistan

Islamabad: Sweden has officially announced the resumption of its visa services in Pakistan. The move is expected to benefit Pakistani citizens planning short-term visits to Sweden.
According to a statement from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, political consultations were held in Stockholm between the foreign ministries of both countries regarding the resumption of the visa service. The Pakistani delegation was led by the Additional Secretary of Foreign Affairs, while the Swedish delegation was headed by the Director General of Global Affairs.
The Ministry spokesperson stated that the decision would provide convenience for Pakistani citizens traveling to Sweden for short-term stays. From July 7, Pakistani nationals will be able to apply for a 90-day visa to Sweden. Pakistan has welcomed the decision, which reflects the growing and strong bilateral ties between the two countries.
