Lahore: Perpetrator of Sexual Harassment Against Foreign Woman Arrested, CCTV Footage Revealed
A shocking incident of sexual harassment involving a foreign woman was reported in Lahore’s Green Town area, with CCTV footage of the attack now making headlines. The incident took place at night when the woman, accompanied by her child, was returning home in the private society located on College Road.
In the footage, a man, dressed in a shalwar kameez, can be seen making inappropriate advances towards the woman in front of her child. The harassment continued until the woman’s husband came out of the house, causing the perpetrator to flee the scene.
Upon learning of the incident, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Lahore, Muhammad Faisal Kamran, immediately took notice and instructed a special team to be formed under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SP) Saddar Division, Dr. Ghayoor Ahmad Khan. The team, led by SHO Green Town, Khurram Shehzad, swiftly launched an operation to apprehend the perpetrator.
Within hours, the police managed to trace the accused with the help of Safe City cameras and CCTV footage. The suspect, identified as Hassan, was arrested within 12 hours of the crime. The case has been registered, and further investigations are ongoing.
DIG Faisal Kamran emphasized the zero-tolerance policy regarding harassment against women and children, calling them a “red line” in society. He assured the public that strict action would be taken against such offenders to ensure the safety and dignity of all individuals.
