Federal Government Declares July 5 and 6 as Official Holidays on Ashura

Islamabad:The federal government has announced official holidays on July 5 and 6 in observance of Ashura. The Cabinet Division has issued a notification declaring the 9th and 10th of Muharram as public holidays.

The notification states that the holidays were approved by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. It also specifies that these holidays will apply to all offices operating on a five- or six-day workweek basis.
