Senator Irfan Siddiqi Assures No Efforts to Create Crisis in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Islamabad:Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader, Senator Irfan Siddiqi, has stated that his party will not engage in any actions that could lead Khyber Pakhtunkhwa into a crisis. Speaking during a segment of *Geo Pakistan*, Siddiqi made it clear that no proposals for a no-confidence motion against the provincial government are being discussed at high levels.
He further emphasized that the recent meeting between the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor and the Prime Minister should not be seen as part of a conspiracy. According to Siddiqi, a no-confidence motion is a constitutional and legal process, noting that the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, had previously experienced it himself.
While recognizing the right of every political party, including PTI, to protest, Siddiqi warned that any attempts to incite chaos under the guise of protests would prompt the government to take action.
In recent days, speculation has been rife regarding a potential no-confidence motion against the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, but no concrete developments have emerged so far.
This statement highlights PML-N’s cautious approach towards the ongoing political dynamics in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and their intent to avoid exacerbating tensions in the region.
