Record Tax Collection of 184.7 Billion Rupees in a Single Day by Karachi’s LTO

Karachi: The Large Taxpayers Office (LTO) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has achieved a historic milestone by collecting a record 184.7 billion rupees in tax revenue in a single day. This achievement was made on the last day of the financial year 2024-2025, marking a remarkable performance in June 2025.
According to FBR officials, LTO Karachi’s tax collection for June reached a total of 449.05 billion rupees (approximately 4.49 trillion rupees), a 48% increase compared to the previous year. This remarkable figure contributed significantly to the overall tax collection of the financial year, which ended with a total revenue of over 3.256 trillion rupees.
The LTO Karachi’s performance represents a 29% year-on-year increase in revenue for the fiscal year 2024-2025, cementing the office’s success. FBR has lauded the professional team at LTO Karachi for their exceptional efforts, highlighting the significant role they played in this record-breaking achievement.
