Asia Cup 2025 to Likely Kick Off on September 10, Hosts and Venue Speculated

Lahore: Preparations for the 2025 Asia Cup are underway, with Indian media reporting that the tournament is expected to begin on September 10. The official schedule for the event will be released in the first week of July.
According to Indian media sources, India will host the Asia Cup, with teams from Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and the UAE expected to participate.
Reports suggest that the UAE could serve as a neutral venue for the matches, providing a convenient location for all teams. Additionally, there are speculations that the event may follow a hybrid model, where some matches will be held in India and others in the UAE, a format previously used in the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
Earlier this year, India had refused to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, citing security concerns. Following this, a hybrid model was agreed upon, with India’s matches being played in the UAE. In response, Pakistan announced that it would not send its team to India for future tournaments.
The official confirmation regarding the schedule and venues will be made in the coming weeks, but all eyes are on how the event will unfold.
