Partly Cloudy Skies in Karachi, Light Rain Likely Today

Karachi: Following two consecutive days of rainfall, the weather in Karachi remains partly cloudy today with a chance of light rain, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department. The weather system responsible for bringing over 58mm of rain to the city has now weakened, reducing the intensity of further precipitation.
The Met Office forecasts light rain for today and the possibility of drizzle tomorrow. The system’s residual effects may keep the skies partly to fully overcast over the next few days.
Humidity levels are expected to range between 65% and 85% over the next 24 hours, making the temperature feel 6 to 8 degrees Celsius higher than the actual. The maximum temperature today is expected to reach 32°C, compared to 30°C recorded yesterday.
In the past 24 hours, Surjani Town recorded the highest rainfall at 58.2mm, followed by 47.5mm in Saadi Town, 37.4mm in Gulshan-e-Maymar, 37mm in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, and 32mm on Shahrah-e-Faisal.
Other notable areas include North Karachi with 29.8mm, Jinnah Terminal at 29.2mm, Defence with 25.5mm, Korangi at 25.2mm, and University Road at 24mm.
