Supreme Court Refers Maherang Baloch Detention Case to Practice and Procedure Committee

Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has referred the **Maherang Baloch detention case** to the **Practice and Procedure Committee** for further proceedings.
A **five-member constitutional bench**, headed by **Justice Aminuddin Khan**, announced the decision during the hearing.
During the proceedings, **Advocate Faisal Siddiqi**, representing Maherang Baloch and others, argued that the case did not involve any constitutional interpretation and therefore should be heard by a **regular bench**, not a constitutional one.
The court agreed with the counsel’s argument, observing that since the matter does not pertain to constitutional interpretation, it should be **transferred to the Practice and Procedure Committee** for appropriate action.
