Diljit Dosanjh Expresses Disinterest in Bollywood, Prioritizes Music Over Acting

Mumbai:Bollywood actor and singer **Diljit Dosanjh** recently shared his thoughts on his career and his passion for music, revealing that he has no interest in pursuing a career in Bollywood acting. In a recent interview, Diljit emphasized that he is deeply in love with music and does not feel the need to work in Bollywood to gain fame or recognition.
He said, *“I have no desire to work in Bollywood and become a big actor. I love music deeply and I can create music without anyone’s permission. I don’t want to make music because a superstar says I should, or because my work will be successful. These things do not affect me.”*
Diljit further explained that in Punjab, artists have the freedom to create their own music, and he cherishes that autonomy. *“In Punjab, every artist creates their own music, and that’s a big freedom. No one can stop me from making music. As long as my heart desires, I will continue to create music, and whether I get work in Bollywood or not doesn’t matter to me,”* he added.
The actor also addressed his recent film **’Sardar Ji 3’**, which he collaborated on with Pakistani actress **Hania Aamir**. The film has faced criticism in India, particularly from Hindu extremists, who have expressed their displeasure over the movie’s release.
Diljit’s focus on music and his disregard for Bollywood stardom stands in contrast to the usual trajectory many Indian artists follow. He has carved out a niche for himself with his unique blend of music and acting, largely staying true to his roots in Punjab.
