Suspect Arrested in Murder of Social Media Influencer Sana Yousaf

Islamabad: The alleged killer of social media influencer Sana Yousaf, who was murdered in Islamabad, has been arrested from Faisalabad, Punjab. The suspect, identified as Umar Hayat alias “Kaka”, reportedly claimed to be a friend of the TikToker.
The news of his arrest was shared by local journalist Ali Imran Abbasi via social media, stating that the arrest took place late last night. The suspect is said to be a resident of Punjab.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), filed by the victim’s mother, Farzana Yousaf, an unidentified man entered their home around 5 PM wearing a black shirt and trousers, and was armed with a pistol. At the time of the incident, her husband was not at home and her 15-year-old son was visiting their native village in Chitral.
Farzana added that her sister-in-law, Latifa Shah, who was staying with them as a guest, witnessed the incident and can identify the suspect.
Sana Yousaf’s body was sent for postmortem at PIMS Hospital and later handed over to her family. The case has deeply shocked her followers and raised concerns about the safety of public figures, particularly women, on social media.
