Attempted Kidnapping Foiled by Brave Locals in Sindhu Kalan Area

Saraye Moghal:A kidnapping attempt was successfully thwarted when brave locals apprehended two armed young men and handed them over to the police in the Sindhu Kalan area near Saraye Moghal.

According to the police, one of the suspects, whose engagement had been recently broken off, had traveled from Lahore with a friend, carrying a pistol with the intent to kidnap a young woman. The two assailants entered the victim’s home at gunpoint and attempted to force the 18-year-old girl onto a motorcycle.

The First Information Report (FIR) revealed that the kidnappers threatened to kill the girl’s family and anyone who intervened. However, the loud cries for help from the family attracted the attention of nearby residents, who gathered and acted swiftly to subdue the assailants.

The girl was safely rescued, and both kidnappers were handed over to the Saraye Moghal police.

The police have registered a case and launched legal proceedings. The authorities have also seized the weapons from the suspects and further investigations are ongoing.
