Inquiry Underway Into Who Manages Imran Khan’s X Account, Says Sources

RAWALPINDI: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) is continuing its probe into who operates the X (formerly Twitter) account of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, according to jail sources.

Officials said that an NCCIA team visited Adiala Jail for the second time to question Khan on the matter. However, the former prime minister refused to meet the investigators.

Sources confirmed that the three-member NCCIA team, led by Additional Director Ayaz Khan, remained inside the jail for nearly one and a half hours but did not receive cooperation from Khan.

Two days earlier, the same team had conducted an initial round of questioning regarding Khan’s X account, but progress remains limited due to his non-cooperation.

The investigation aims to determine who is handling Khan’s social media presence while he remains in custody.
