Fake Gold Sale Discovered 17 Years Later, Case Filed in Lahore

Lahore: In a startling revelation, the Old Anarkali Police have filed a case against three individuals for selling fake gold 17 years after the transaction. The case was registered based on a complaint filed by the citizen, Mohsin Imran.
According to the FIR, the complainant had purchased gold worth over 82,000 rupees from a shop in 2008. He still possesses the original receipt for the purchase. Seventeen years later, when Mohsin attempted to sell the gold back at the same shop, the shopkeeper declared the gold set to be counterfeit.
As a result, a fraud case was filed against the accused, identified as Irfan, Waqas, and Imran, under relevant fraud charges. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter following the filing of the case.
