Quetta’s New Trauma Center Nears Completion, Set to Become Milestone for Emergency Care: CM Sarfaraz Bugti

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) — **Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti**, stated that the establishment of **modern healthcare facilities** in the province is crucial for saving lives and providing timely, high-quality treatment during emergencies. He made these remarks during a detailed visit to the **under-construction New Trauma Center on Spin Road, Quetta**.
During the visit, **Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakr**, **Health Secretary Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Panizai**, and **Communications Secretary Lal Jan Jaffar** provided a comprehensive briefing on the project’s progress. The briefing revealed that the **state-of-the-art trauma center, with 135 to 150 beds, has entered its final stages of completion**. The facility will include **four modern ICUs, eight operation theaters, advanced imaging facilities, laboratory units, and post-operative care units**.
Once completed, the trauma center will be **Balochistan’s largest and most modern emergency medical institution**, designed according to international standards. CM Bugti expressed satisfaction with the **construction speed and quality**, praising the efforts of the health and communications secretaries, the provincial health minister, and the entire project team.
He emphasized that **providing better healthcare facilities to the public is a top priority** for the Balochistan government, and the new trauma center will serve as a **landmark achievement in emergency care**. The center will **enhance the province’s capacity to provide rapid, effective treatment for emergency cases**, significantly improving the protection of human lives.
CM Bugti also noted that **modern ICU, OT, imaging, and laboratory facilities** are being ensured at international standards, and the expansion of healthcare infrastructure in major urban centers is a key objective of the government’s ongoing reforms, aiming to **accelerate public welfare outcomes**.
