DHA Karachi Assault Case: Sindh High Court Issues Notice on Bail Plea of Accused

In the high-profile case of **alleged assault on a young man in Karachi’s upscale Defence area**, the **Sindh High Court** has issued a notice to the **Prosecutor General of Sindh** while hearing the **bail application** of the accused, **Salman Farooqui and Owais Hashmi**. The matter has been adjourned until **June 16**.
During the hearing, the **victim, Sudheer**, appeared in court personally. The **defense counsel** argued that the charges filed against their clients are **bailable in nature**, and further stated that the **victim has no objection** to the bail being granted.
Justice **Umar Sial**, who presided over the hearing, remarked:
> “Please be patient. We will issue a notice first.”
The incident took place in **DHA Karachi**, where a young man was allegedly subjected to physical assault. The case was registered at **Gizri Police Station**, and the two accused were **arrested** shortly afterward.
Previously, the **Karachi Sessions Court** had **rejected** the bail plea of the accused just before Eid. Subsequently, they moved to the Sindh High Court to seek relief.
The court, after hearing preliminary arguments, has now issued a notice to the Prosecutor General and adjourned the hearing to **June 16**, when further proceedings will take place.
