NADRA Launches Bike Service in Karachi to Ease Citizen’s Hassles

Islamabad:The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new service in Karachi to help citizens avoid long queues and waiting times.

According to officials, NADRA Karachi Region is introducing a bike service for citizens starting from Monday. This service will allow Karachiites to easily apply for and renew their National Identity Cards, along with other NADRA services.

Initially, three NADRA bikers will operate in Karachi, while one bike will be deployed in Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas for the service. Soon, an additional ten bikes will be added to the fleet.

The bike service will provide citizens with the convenience of receiving services at home, with representatives equipped with necessary processing tools in backpacks. A fee of 1,000 rupees will be charged for this home service, including 825 rupees for the service and 175 rupees for delivery charges.

Earlier, NADRA had announced the closure of its website from January 17 and the transition of all services to its mobile app, as well as the establishment of three new regional offices.

In a statement on Thursday, Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, confirmed that NADRA’s Pakistan ID website would be shut down, and all services would now be available exclusively through the mobile app.
