Journalists Grill Aleema Khan Outside Adiala Jail, PTI Founder’s Sister Avoids Political Questions
Rawalpindi: Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, faced sharp questions from journalists outside Adiala Jail after meeting her brother. When asked whether PTI was losing its political strength, she responded, *“We are here to meet our brother. Political questions should be asked in parliament, where you’ll get satisfactory answers.”*
Aleema Khan also expressed concern over her sons’ arrests, saying their bail was not being granted. When questioned about Imran Khan’s Twitter account, she dismissed the reporter by asking, *“Who are you? You don’t seem like a journalist. Are you sure you’re a journalist?”* She further sought confirmation from police officers, avoiding any clear response regarding the Twitter matter.
On being asked about alleged property purchases through Shaukat Khanum funds, Aleema Khan remarked, *“This is something new. Maryam and Nawaz Sharif have been in power for two years, yet they haven’t acted. If they believe it’s true, let them come and arrest me.”* However, she refrained from denying the property purchase allegations outright.
