Hajj Sermon Delivered at Masjid Namirah: Islam Chosen by Allah for Humanity, Says Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah

Saudi Arabia: In the annual Hajj sermon delivered at Masjid Namirah in Arafat, Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah, Imam of Masjid al-Haram, emphasized that Allah has chosen Islam as a religion for the betterment of all humanity.
Addressing millions of pilgrims — including over 115,000 Pakistanis — gathered in the plains of Arafat, Sheikh Saleh urged believers to fear Allah and adopt piety (taqwa). He reminded the Muslim Ummah that Satan is a clear enemy and must be kept at bay.
“Muslims should uphold unity and brotherhood,” he stated. “If you forgive your enemy, Allah will make you His friend.” He reiterated the importance of mercy, compassion, and mutual forgiveness among Muslims.
Sheikh Saleh further emphasized that good deeds erase bad ones, and therefore, Muslims should strive to do more good. Citing a hadith of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), he said, “Worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot, then know that He sees you.”
The powerful sermon underscored the spiritual essence of Hajj and called on Muslims to renew their commitment to righteousness, unity, and sincere worship.
