Balochistan to Present Surplus Budget for FY 2024–25, Says CM Sarfraz Bugti

Quetta:Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has announced that the province’s upcoming fiscal year budget will be a **surplus budget**, marking a significant achievement in financial planning and development execution.

Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, CM Bugti highlighted that, for the **first time in the province’s history**, **90% of development funds have been utilized on time**, a major step forward in governance and public service delivery.

He emphasized that **youth empowerment and job creation** will be top priorities in the upcoming budget. “The new budget will focus on creating maximum employment opportunities,” he added.

Addressing infrastructure development, the Chief Minister stated that the current provincial assembly building no longer meets functional requirements. A **new parliament building**, reflecting **Balochistan’s cultural identity and traditions**, will be constructed with support from the federal government.

On the security front, CM Bugti affirmed that **targeted operations against terrorism are ongoing** and that peace is gradually being restored in the province. “Roads across Balochistan are open and safe today,” he stated confidently.
