27 Employees Terminated from 10 Billion Tree Tsunami Program in Balochistan

In a significant development, 27 employees associated with the 10 Billion Tree Tsunami Program in Balochistan have been issued termination notices. The notices were officially released by the Project Director, citing the expiry of their service contracts.

According to officials, the terminated employees have been instructed to submit all pending reports, assignments, and relevant documentation related to the project.

Concerns have also emerged regarding the performance and transparency of the program. The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) revealed that the overall progress of the initiative over the past three years stands at a mere **12.43%**. Additionally, the Standing Committee noted that **older trees** were reportedly counted as part of the new plantation efforts, raising questions about data accuracy.

This development highlights increasing scrutiny over the execution and impact of one of Pakistan’s flagship environmental initiatives.
