Indian Hand Behind Terror Networks in Balochistan, Says Field Marshal Asim Munir

Islamabad/Quetta – Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has stated that India is actively involved in supporting terror networks in Balochistan, and its proxy war against Pakistan has now escalated into open aggression.
Speaking at a tribal jirga in Quetta, the Field Marshal said, “The Indian proxy war is no longer covert – it has become blatant hostility. We will defeat every conspiracy, whether internal or external.” He affirmed that the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to respond to all threats and reiterated that peace in Balochistan is non-negotiable.
Field Marshal Munir emphasized that the future of Pakistan is deeply tied to Balochistan, highlighting the region’s strategic importance. At the conclusion of the jirga, tribal elders expressed solidarity with the government and the armed forces of Pakistan.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also addressed the gathering, asserting that grievances of the Baloch people can be resolved through dialogue, but terrorists will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The Prime Minister stressed that “development and unrest cannot coexist.” He announced that 25% of the upcoming federal development budget (PSDP) would be allocated to Balochistan.
PM Shehbaz Sharif also congratulated the people of Balochistan and Pakistan’s armed forces for their firm and courageous response to Indian aggression, referencing attacks by India on May 6, 7, and 10. “The enemy has been given a defeat it will remember for a lifetime,” he stated.
The leadership’s remarks come amid heightened tensions and renewed focus on national unity, peace in Balochistan, and resilience against foreign interference.
