PDMA Balochistan and Youth Organizations Complete Emergency Response Training in Remote Kanchugi Area of Muslim Bagh

Quetta (UNA): In a significant step toward disaster preparedness, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Balochistan, in collaboration with local youth organizations, successfully concluded a two-day emergency response training program in Union Council Kanchugi, a remote area of Muslim Bagh, District Killa Saifullah.
The training was held under the “Restoring Social Services and Climate Resilience (RSSCR)” project with financial support from the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF). Around 45 local community members participated in the program, receiving hands-on training in first aid, CPR, fire safety, evacuation procedures, and response to natural disasters like floods.
At the closing ceremony, PDMA Balochistan’s Director of Rescue, Zahir Ahmed Baloch, attended as the chief guest. Deputy Director Asghar Ali Jamali praised Hamidullah Khan, CEO of the partnering youth organization, for mobilizing and training youth in such challenging and remote areas.
PDMA officials highlighted the importance of equipping local communities with emergency response skills to enhance climate resilience and disaster preparedness at the grassroots level. They reaffirmed their commitment to continued collaboration with youth organizations for future initiatives aimed at safeguarding vulnerable regions from natural hazards.
