Bilawal Bhutto Takes Charge of Diplomatic Efforts Amid Pakistan-India Tensions

Islamabad: In response to escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has assumed a leading role on the diplomatic front.
According to sources, Bilawal is heading a parliamentary delegation currently present in New York. The committee will begin meetings with U.S. officials today. During the visit, Bilawal Bhutto will brief American officials, members of Congress, think tanks, and media outlets on Pakistan’s stance regarding the ongoing conflict with India.
The parliamentary delegation will highlight the causes of the recent tensions, expose Indian disinformation campaigns, and address foreign influence operations. It also plans to discuss the security implications of India’s potential suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty.
The committee is scheduled to meet with the UN Secretary-General in New York and senior officials of the Trump administration in Washington. The visit will continue until June 9.
Other members of the delegation include Senator Musadik Malik, Khurram Dastgir Khan, former Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, and former ambassador Jalil Abbas Jilani.
After concluding its U.S. visit on June 9, the delegation will travel to the United Kingdom, followed by a tour of several European countries. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari departed for the United States on May 30.
