Saudi Arabia Suspends All Visa Categories for Pakistan and 13 Other Countries Until June 2025

Riyadh – Saudi Arabia has temporarily suspended the issuance of all visa categories for citizens of 14 countries, including Pakistan, India, Egypt, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iraq, and Nigeria. The decision impacts Umrah, family visit, business, and tourist visas, and is expected to remain in effect until the end of June 2025.
According to official sources, Saudi Arabia has also halted the issuance of “block work visa quotas” for the affected countries. Block work visas allow Saudi companies to pre-approve a specific quota of foreign workers. The suspension is aimed at controlling immigration, reducing crowding, and preventing unauthorized pilgrims during the upcoming Hajj season.
As a result:
No new visa applications will be accepted.
Existing applications may face delays or rejections.
Individuals who have received visas but have not yet entered Saudi Arabia may face entry issues.
Authorities have stated that these measures are temporary and may be eased following the conclusion of the Hajj season.
