Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Arrives in Scotland with 60-Vehicle Convoy to Celebrate 77th Birthday

Dubai: Dubai Ruler, Vice President, and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has arrived in Scotland to celebrate his 77th birthday at his sprawling Inverinate Estate, where he is expected to spend several days with family and close associates.

According to British media reports, the birthday celebrations are likely to take place next week. Sheikh Mohammed landed at Inverness Airport aboard a private jet and was accompanied by three helicopters and a convoy of approximately 60 vehicles, including Range Rovers and Mercedes models used for security and transportation.

Local residents said they had never witnessed such a large security convoy in the area before. British media also reported that Sheikh Mohammed appeared serious upon arrival at the airport but was later seen enjoying a walk through the scenic Highland countryside with members of his family and close companions.

The Inverinate Estate, located near Loch Duich, covers around 63,000 acres and includes residential buildings, lodges, and three helipads. Additional construction at the estate was approved last year, and local residents say the property has continued to expand, now resembling a small village.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is widely regarded as the architect of Dubai’s modern transformation. Under his leadership, landmark projects such as the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, and Dubai Metro were completed, while Emirates Airline also grew into one of the world’s leading international carriers.
