German Honorary Consul and Quetta Chamber President Meet Omani Consul General to Boost Balochistan-Oman Cooperation

Karachi:The Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany for Balochistan and President of the Quetta Chamber of Small Industries held a significant meeting with Engineer Sami Abdullah Al-Khanjari, Consul General of the Sultanate of Oman, at the Omani Consulate in Karachi. The meeting aimed to enhance bilateral cooperation between Oman and Balochistan across various sectors.

Key topics discussed included regional connectivity, trade development, and the preservation of cultural heritage. One major proposal was the launch of **SalamAir flights from Quetta to Muscat**, with the possibility of expanding to other international destinations in the future. This move is expected to significantly improve global access for the people and businesses of Balochistan.

Both parties agreed to send a delegation of Balochistani traders to Oman to explore investment and trade opportunities and to foster bilateral business partnerships. The Omani Consul General assured that business visa procedures for Balochistani entrepreneurs would be streamlined, facilitating their entry into Omani markets.

There was also a strong emphasis on preserving and restoring historical structures in **Gwadar**, recognizing their cultural and economic value. Furthermore, an Omani community delegation is expected to visit Balochistan to explore available business opportunities and strengthen people-to-people and cultural ties.

Consul General Al-Khanjari appreciated Germany’s development efforts in Balochistan, especially in economic uplift and cultural heritage preservation. This meeting marks a key step in deepening diplomatic, commercial, and cultural relations between Oman and Balochistan, opening new avenues for international collaboration.
