Kashmir Issue Resurfaces Globally Amid Recent Pak-India Tensions: Pakistani Ambassador to U.S.

Washington D.C.:Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, **Rizwan Saeed Sheikh**, has said that the **recent tensions between Pakistan and India** have brought the **Kashmir dispute back into the global spotlight**.
In a statement, Ambassador Sheikh emphasized that the **Kashmir issue remains a major obstacle to peace and development** in South Asia. He said, *“The unresolved Kashmir dispute continues to hinder progress for the people of the region.”*
He noted that the latest episode of **heightened tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors** has once again drawn **international attention to this decades-old conflict**.
Ambassador Sheikh further highlighted that **upcoming high-level engagements** between Pakistani officials and members of the **U.S. administration, policymakers, and other stakeholders** will provide opportunities to **further raise awareness** and advocate for a **peaceful resolution** to the Kashmir issue.
