NADRA Issues Warning: Identity Cards of Suspicious Individuals to Be Blocked if Verification Fails

ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued a list of suspicious individuals and announced strict action against those who fail to verify their identities within the stipulated time.

According to regional headquarters officials, all individuals flagged as suspicious have been directed to appear before the NADRA board within two weeks for identity verification. Authorities warned that identity cards of those who do not comply within the deadline will be immediately blocked.

NADRA has intensified its crackdown on fake and suspicious identity documents, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where more than 1,152 individuals have been issued notices.

Among those served notices are 874 residents of Peshawar, 192 individuals from Charsadda, and 81 from Tank district. In addition, one suspected individual each from Torghar and Jhelum has also been summoned for verification.

Officials said the drive is part of efforts to eliminate fraudulent identity records and ensure the integrity of the national database. They added that strict legal action will be taken against those found involved in the creation or use of fake identity documents.
