Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Meets Today in Islamabad to Sight Zilhajj Moon

Islamabad:The **Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee** will meet today in Islamabad to sight the **Zilhajj moon**, which will determine the date of **Eid-ul-Adha** in Pakistan.

According to **SUPARCO (Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission)**, the chances of moon sighting this evening are **extremely low**, as the moon’s age at sunset on **May 27** will be only **11 hours**, making visibility unlikely.

Based on astronomical data, **the first day of Zilhajj is expected to fall on May 29**, and therefore **Eid-ul-Adha in Pakistan is likely to be observed on June 7 (Friday)**.

Meanwhile, **Saudi Arabia** will also hold its moon sighting meeting today. According to **Saudi astronomers**, there is a **strong possibility** of moon visibility in the region.

Similarly, the **UAE’s Astronomical Center** has predicted that the **Zilhajj moon is likely to be sighted today** as well. If confirmed, **Eid-ul-Adha in the UAE will fall on June 6 (Thursday)**.

This year again, it is expected that **Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on different dates across Muslim countries**, depending on local moon sighting reports.
