Pakistan and India DGMO to Hold Another Round of Talks Amid Tensions, Says Ishaq Dar

Islamabad:Pakistan and India’s Directors General of Military Operations (DGMO) will hold another round of talks today, aimed at reducing tensions between the two countries, according to Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.

In an interview with a TV channel, Ishaq Dar confirmed that efforts are underway to ease the ongoing hostilities between Pakistan and India. He emphasized that Pakistan is ready for dialogue and has been actively working on de-escalating the situation.

Dar shared that in Thursday’s discussions, both sides agreed to extend the ceasefire until Sunday, marking a small but significant step toward peace. He noted that multiple rounds of negotiations between the DGMO have already taken place, and the next phase will focus on further diplomatic engagement.

“We are prepared for talks and look forward to the next steps in the dialogue process,” Ishaq Dar added.

This latest development comes amid heightened military tensions between the two neighboring countries, underscoring the importance of continued communication and negotiation at the military leadership level to avoid further escalation.
