Federal Minister for Water Resources: India is Not in a Position to Block Pakistan’s Water

Islamabad:Federal Minister for Water Resources, **Muhammad Moin Watto**, has firmly stated that India is not in a position to block Pakistan’s water flow. In a statement, he emphasized that **India** does not have the capacity to store or block water effectively, asserting that the country’s infrastructure does not allow for such actions.

Moin Watto further clarified that **Pakistan’s rivers are well-supplied with water**, assuring that there are no immediate threats to the nation’s water security. He also highlighted that the **President of the World Bank** has endorsed Pakistan’s stance on the **Indus Waters Treaty**, supporting the country’s position in the ongoing discussions regarding water distribution in the region.

The remarks come amid rising concerns about India’s attempts to divert water from shared rivers, which are critical to Pakistan’s agriculture and overall water supply. The federal minister’s statement aims to reassure the public that the country’s water resources remain secure and that international support strengthens Pakistan’s position on the matter.
