“Those Who Consider Pashtun Blood Cheap Will Be Held Accountable,” Says CM Sohail Afridi

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has issued a strong warning to the federal government and powerful quarters, declaring that the era of making decisions about Khyber Pakhtunkhwa behind closed doors is over and those who have undermined the public mandate will now be held accountable.

Addressing the provincial assembly in an emotional and forceful speech, the chief minister expressed deep grief over the long-standing deprivation of the Pashtun people and the recent surge in insecurity in the province. He said that those who consider “Pashtun blood cheaper than water” will now face public anger and resistance.

Sohail Afridi stated that the ideological supporters of Imran Khan are fully prepared to go to any extent to protect their land, their rights, and their leader. He warned that continued denial of constitutional rights and resources to the province would no longer be tolerated.

Criticizing the current administrative approach, the chief minister said such policies were a “slap in the face of the people” and cautioned that if the exploitation of provincial rights continues, a powerful protest movement will emerge from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that could shake corridors of power across the country.
