Former Corps Commander Lt Gen (R) Asif Ghafoor Warns India Amid ‘Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs’: “Victory Is Near by the Help of Allah

Islamabad:Following Pakistan’s decisive launch of *Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs* in response to Indian aggression, former DG ISPR and ex-Corps Commander Quetta, **Lieutenant General (R) Asif Ghafoor**, issued a powerful message on social media, invoking faith and military resolve.

Quoting the Quranic verse, **”Nasrun min Allahi wa fathun qareeb”** (*Help from Allah and a near victory*), Lt Gen (R) Ghafoor expressed confidence in Pakistan’s military response and national resilience.

Later, Ghafoor tweeted again, sharing an image that he claimed was **hidden by Twitter**. In the post, he challenged India directly, saying:

> *”This is just a post. India, how will you face the might of Pakistan’s armed forces?”*

Tagging Indian Prime Minister **Narendra Modi**, Ghafoor reiterated past warnings:

> *”Narendra Modi, you were repeatedly warned not to test our resolve. You have committed state terrorism, especially in occupied Kashmir, against innocent civilians. Now, stop your brutality—or be ready for severe consequences at the hands of Pakistan’s armed forces.”*

His statement follows a wave of significant retaliatory strikes by Pakistan’s military under *Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs*, which included targeting Indian airbases, strategic installations, and cyber infrastructure.

Ghafoor’s remarks have added to the growing chorus of military and political voices within Pakistan, vowing to defend national sovereignty and respond to further Indian aggression with full force.
