Pakistan Only Targeted Indian Military Posts, Did Not Use Drones or Rockets: DG ISPR

Islamabad: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has clarified that Pakistan, in response to Indian aggression along the Line of Control (LoC), only targeted Indian military posts and did not carry out drone or rocket attacks, as falsely claimed by Indian media.
In an interview with international broadcaster TRT World, the DG ISPR highlighted the ongoing unprovoked artillery shelling and firing by Indian forces across the LoC, particularly targeting civilian areas. He stated that Pakistan’s response was confined strictly to Indian military posts responsible for these attacks and categorically denied the use of drones or rockets.
“Pakistan has not used drones or rockets. Our retaliatory actions were limited to those Indian posts that were deliberately targeting our civilian population,” he said.
Major General Chaudhry rejected Indian media reports alleging cross-border drone or missile strikes by Pakistan as “fabricated and baseless.” He challenged India to present evidence if such incidents had occurred, pointing out the lack of any wreckage or captured personnel as claimed.
He further emphasized, “This is the 21st century—everything is electronically monitored. If Pakistan had used drones or rockets, there would be undeniable proof.”
He accused the Indian media of spreading false propaganda and added, “As I said earlier, if Pakistan takes any action, there will be no need to tell Indian media— the world will know.”
The DG ISPR also responded to allegations surrounding the Pahalgam incident, saying India has a habit of blaming Pakistan without evidence. He reiterated Pakistan’s offer for a transparent, neutral, and independent investigation into the matter, which India has ignored.
“India’s baseless allegations without any evidence are part of a consistent narrative to deflect attention from its own internal failures and to malign Pakistan,” he added.
