Indian “Godi Media” a Stain on Journalism: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari

Lahore: Punjab’s Minister for Information, Azma Bukhari, has strongly criticized Indian media, calling it a “black stain on the name of journalism” due to its biased and misleading coverage in support of the Modi government.
In her statement, Bukhari said that “Godi Media” — a term used to describe Indian outlets seen as loyal to the ruling BJP — has taken sycophancy to an extreme level. “Modi tells one lie, and the Indian media amplifies it into a hundred more,” she remarked.
Bukhari mocked Indian media’s exaggerated war claims, stating that according to their reports, India has already “conquered all of Pakistan,” whereas in reality, all Pakistani cities remain safe and life continues as normal. “The global media is ridiculing the Indian government and its lapdog media,” she added.
She further said that India’s desire to even come near Pakistani territory is a dream that will remain unfulfilled for eternity. Comparing Indian media to a cartoon network, she said Prime Minister Modi himself has been hiding in fear for the past week.
Bukhari recalled India’s failed attempt to capture Lahore in 1965, which ended in a humiliating defeat, and claimed that history is repeating itself. “For the past three days, Indian forces have faced shameful setbacks at the hands of Pakistani forces,” she asserted.
According to Bukhari, the Pakistan Air Force has shot down five Indian aircraft, a fact confirmed by international media. She accused Indian media of spreading fake news about downing Pakistani aircraft in an attempt to cover up Modi government’s international embarrassment. “Alhamdulillah, all Pakistani aircraft are completely safe,” she concluded.
