Fake Betting Games Use AI-Generated Videos of Pakistani Celebrities to Scam Users – Shocking Report

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) – Fraudulent mobile betting games available on the Google Play Store are deceiving Pakistani users by showing fake AI-generated videos featuring popular Pakistani celebrities. These deceptive apps promise quick riches and financial rewards to lure unsuspecting users into scams.
According to recent findings, several mobile apps falsely advertise their games using deepfake videos of Pakistani actors who have no actual affiliation with these platforms. One such example is a fake promotional video of renowned actor Imran Abbas endorsing a game called “Destroy Space Rocks”. The video even includes fabricated Easypaisa payment notifications to falsely suggest users are receiving instant cash rewards. However, Easypaisa has confirmed it has no connection to these apps. The company has been contacted for an official response, which will be shared when available.
The game “Deep Space Rocks” has already been downloaded over 50,000 times and holds a 4.2-star rating on the Play Store. It is developed by an entity named Xplancerdev, which has also published other apps like “Nokengo User” and “Questify”. While these apps have not yet been confirmed as scams, users are being advised to remain cautious.
In another similar scheme, a deepfake video of Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani is being circulated to gain public trust falsely. These misleading ads are widely promoted across YouTube, Facebook, and other social media platforms.
Authorities and cybersecurity experts are urging users to stay vigilant, report suspicious apps, and avoid sharing personal or financial information with unverified platforms.
