CM Balochistan Chairs Key Meeting on Provincial Action Plan, Reviews Progress in Various Sectors

Quetta – A significant review meeting on the implementation of the Provincial Action Plan was held under the chairmanship of Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Sardar Fazal Baloch, at the Chief Minister Secretariat on Thursday. The meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary of Balochistan, Shakil Qadir Khan, along with the secretaries of various departments including Home, Development & Planning, and Education.
The meeting commenced with a detailed briefing from the Home and Tribal Affairs departments on the current actions being taken against elements involved in anti-state activities. The briefing highlighted the ongoing efforts to address these issues, including the initiation of actions against government employees involved in anti-state activities. It was also reported that route permits for 11 buses of private companies involved in supporting such activities had been suspended.
Speaking at the meeting, CM Sardar Fazal Baloch emphasized the importance of fully implementing the Provincial Action Plan to restore peace in the province. He stated that decisions would be made collectively, with the interests of the state and merit being prioritized at all costs. He remarked, “The war against terrorism is not only the military’s fight, but also that of every citizen.”
On the education sector, the Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over recent progress, stating that for the first time in Balochistan’s history, 1,436 closed schools had been reopened within a span of just two months. Education department officials also informed the meeting that orders for the appointment of 7,908 contract teachers had been issued, with an additional 3,500 teachers to be appointed shortly.
The Chief Minister directed that the Provincial Action Plan be made more effective and cohesive, emphasizing the need to closely monitor anti-state propaganda and activities. He also expressed concerns about the potential involvement of certain NGOs in illegal activities and directed that they be reviewed. “It is crucial to ensure that, in this fast-paced era, facts based on truth are presented to the public,” he added.
Further discussions were held regarding the progress of developmental projects. The Additional Chief Secretary for Development and Planning, Hafeez Abdul Bast, provided a detailed briefing on the current year’s development initiatives and the utilization of funds. The Chief Minister instructed that funds allocated for these projects be disbursed promptly to ensure timely completion and to allow the public to benefit from the outcomes.
The meeting concluded with a call for continued collaboration between various stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the Provincial Action Plan and the completion of key development initiatives.
