Youth, Social Media Influencers Key to Showcasing Balochistan’s Potential: Bilal Khan Kakar
Quetta – Vice Chairman of the Balochistan Board of Investment, Bilal Khan Kakar, emphasized the vital role of the youth and social media influencers in reshaping Balochistan’s image and presenting its untapped potential to the world. Addressing a consultative session with vloggers and digital influencers at the Pakistan Public Administration (PPA) office, Kakar stated that the beauty, resources, and investment opportunities in Balochistan must be effectively highlighted through digital platforms.
He announced that a dedicated conference would soon be organized to mobilize youth in this mission. “The goal is to present the real face of Balochistan — rich in resources and full of opportunity — through the voices of our vibrant youth,” Kakar added.
Abdul Kabir Khan Zarkoon, CEO of the Balochistan Board of Investment, also spoke at the session. He affirmed that the Board would offer every possible support and facility to young people who are willing to contribute to the province’s development and prosperity. “We’re not here to turn lies into truth, but to bring the truth to light,” Zarkoon stated.
The session was attended by officials from the Balochistan Public-Private Partnership Authority, BUITEMS, and BBIT. Participants shared suggestions on how to promote various sectors of Balochistan such as mining, agriculture, livestock, fisheries, tourism, and coastal development, while countering negative narratives on social media with positive initiatives.
Kakar concluded by reiterating that the mission of the Board of Investment and Trade is not just to enhance business and investment, but to also foster positive engagement among youth. “Balochistan has been blessed with immense natural resources — we must now focus on highlighting these strengths and turning them into opportunities.”
