Irfan Siddiqui Responds to India’s Threats, Stresses Pakistan’s Sovereignty

Islamabad: Senator Irfan Siddiqui, responding to India’s threats following the Pahalgam incident, stated that Pakistan is not like Babri Mosque that a few Indian goons could come and destroy. He emphasized that Pakistan is a sovereign nation, and no one can trample on its dignity.
While addressing the Senate, Siddiqui said the unity shown within the country after the Pahalgam incident was commendable. He also criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, referring to him as the “Butcher of Gujarat,” a title which Modi reportedly took as an honor for his role in crushing Muslims.
Siddiqui condemned the actions of Modi, noting that due to one individual’s behavior, the world’s largest democracy had turned into the largest killing ground. He pointed to the atrocities faced by Kashmiris, with nearly twelve thousand women being raped, and the heavy military presence in the region, where every seven civilians are accompanied by an armed soldier. He also mentioned the revocation of Kashmir’s special status and the demographic changes in the region.
He questioned how a group of four attackers could carry out an attack so far from the heavily guarded Line of Control (LoC), located 200 kilometers from Pahalgam. He raised doubts about the presence of the Indian military, stating that no suspect had been arrested yet, while Pakistan was immediately blamed within minutes of the incident. Siddiqui suggested that the FIR might have been filed before the incident even occurred, implying the attack was pre-planned with ulterior motives.
He further pointed out that similar incidents occurred when the U.S. Vice President visited, where 27 individuals were slaughtered, with the sole purpose of creating the false narrative that Pakistan was responsible. Siddiqui concluded by asserting, “Pakistan is not like Babri Mosque. It is a free, independent nation that cannot be undermined by anyone.”
