PM Shehbaz Sharif Attends Pakistan Military Academy Passing-Out Parade, Lauds Armed Forces’ Role in National Security

Abbottabad, Pakistan:The Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul held a grand and solemn Passing-Out Parade today, marking a significant milestone in the training of new officers for the Pakistan Army. The event was graced by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as the chief guest, while Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir attended as the Guest of Honour.
The ceremony began with the ringing of the bell, announcing the arrival of the Prime Minister, who subsequently inspected the parade. Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Ata Tarar, senior civilian and military officials, and foreign diplomats were also present at the occasion, reflecting the importance of the event.
During the parade, the cadets performed the national anthem to the melodious tunes of the PMA Band. Among the 13 foreign cadets passing out from the academy, hailing from Bangladesh, Iraq, Nepal, and Qatar, were recognized for their academic and military excellence.
The awards ceremony saw several cadets being honored for their exceptional performance. The prestigious Presidential Gold Medal was awarded to Under Officer Zain Ul Abidin, while the Honorary Sword was presented to Under Officer Mohammad Hanan Malik. The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Overseas Medal was conferred upon a cadet from Nepal, while the Commandant’s Honorary Baton was given to Under Officer Mohammad Talha Ayaz. Lady Cadet Liba Rahman was also honored with the Lady Cadet Award for her outstanding performance.
In his address, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the successful cadets and expressed pride in attending the parade. He reiterated that Pakistan’s armed forces symbolize national unity, discipline, and resolve.
“Participation in this Passing-Out Parade is an honor for me,” said the Prime Minister. “Our armed forces are the embodiment of national unity, organization, and determination.”
Addressing the nation’s security, the Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistan would never compromise on its security and sovereignty. “If Pakistan’s water rights are hindered, we will respond with full force,” he warned. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to defending every inch of its land and vowed to provide a strong response to any misadventures.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also highlighted the government’s efforts towards economic stability and affirmed that national interests would always be prioritized in policy-making.
