Governor’s Rule Is Not Being Imposed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; Option of Emergency Is Under Consideration: Tariq Fazal Chaudhry

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has said that governor’s rule is not being imposed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; the option of imposing emergency is under consideration. A final decision on emergency has not yet been made. If emergency is imposed, the provincial assembly will remain intact, the province’s chief executive will be a representative of the federation, and that person could also be the governor.
Speaking on a Hum News program, he said that due to the poor law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, citizens are losing their lives. “How can their lives be made safe? As for this talk of governor’s rule, no governor’s rule is being imposed. If emergency is imposed, the assembly does not dissolve in it; the federation determines the chief executive,” he said.
“The air has gone out of the long march balloon. We know that the long march will not happen now,” he said.
“Has Imran Khan ever asked to this day whether any work has been done for the people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa?” he asked.
He said that a chief minister is brought in who is thought to prove to be a bigger Dracula than the previous one. Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that the talk of emergency is happening because the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has done nothing for law and order in the province, and if the federal government takes any steps, the provincial government becomes an obstacle in its way.

According to a UNICEF report, 9.7 million children in Punjab are out of school. “How can they talk only about the performance of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government? They are defaming their own chief minister across the world by calling him an accomplice of terrorists. Is this serving Pakistan?” he said.
