Balochistan Government Purchases 21 New Buses for Quetta and Turbat, Including Women-Only Pink Buses

Quetta, Pakistan:The Balochistan government has announced the acquisition of 21 new buses for the cities of Quetta and Turbat, aiming to improve public transportation in the region. According to the Department of Transport, these buses are expected to be operational on the roads of Quetta and Turbat within the next two months.

The newly purchased fleet includes **four pink buses** designated for women’s use in Quetta, as well as **four green buses** for Turbat. These additions are part of a broader initiative to expand and modernize the public transport system in both cities.

Secretary of the Department of Transport, Hayat Kakr, confirmed that a tender for the purchase of the buses had been successfully completed, and it is anticipated that the buses will arrive in Quetta within a month. Following their arrival, the buses will be deployed on the roads of both cities within the next two months.

Out of the 21 buses, **12 green buses** will join the existing fleet of 8 green buses already operating in Quetta, serving new routes within the city to accommodate the growing transport needs of its residents.
