NA-251 Vote Recount Confirms Victory of Pashtunkhwa MAP, Says Chairman Khushal Khan Kakar

Zhob:Chairman of the **Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP)**, **Khushal Khan Kakar**, has declared that the recent recount of 22 polling stations in **NA-251 (Zhob, Killa Saifullah, and Lower Sherani)** has confirmed his party’s rightful victory, which was previously “converted into a fabricated defeat through a calculated conspiracy.”
Addressing a **massive public gathering in Zhob** following the completion of the recount, Kakar stated that the **February 8, 2024 general elections** were a historic show of **Pashtun political consciousness and national bravery**, with voters strongly backing PMAP candidates and leadership.
Kakar emphasized that despite initial claims of their defeat, the **Election Commission’s own records**, **Form-45s**, and the findings of its **inquiry committee** had already validated PMAP’s lead. He said the **tribunal-ordered recount** further reinforced this claim, making it clear that PMAP had legitimately won the seat.
“This seat belongs to PMAP,” said Kakar, “and we have proven this at every legal and democratic forum.”
He acknowledged the unwavering support of the party’s base, stating, “The trust our people placed in us for national representation made it imperative that we fight till the end for our right. Our success across all forums is proof that the people’s mandate has finally been upheld.”
Kakar also paid tribute to **senior deputy chairman Raza Muhammad Raza**, calling him the “spirit of the movement” for his tireless efforts from **Islamabad to Quetta to Zhob**. He praised the party’s **Zhob district secretary Dr. Bayzid Khan Roshan**, along with **Abdul Qayyum Advocate, Mohabbat Khan Mandokhail**, and **Syed Akbar Kakar** for their dedicated organization and hospitality throughout the week-long peaceful protest in Zhob.
The PMAP chairman concluded by thanking all party leaders and workers from across the province who participated in the **democratic resistance**, and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to fulfilling the **national aspirations** of the Pashtun people.
