NADRA Issues Important Guidelines for CNIC Applicants

**Islamabad:** The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued important instructions for citizens across Pakistan, urging them to collect their Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) within the prescribed time to avoid inconvenience and complications.

According to NADRA, once a CNIC is issued, it is the responsibility of the applicant to collect it on time. Failure to do so may lead to administrative issues and complications in the record. The authority warned that negligence in receiving the card after approval could result in problems at a later stage.

NADRA clarified that if a CNIC is not collected within three months of the designated delivery date, the card will be treated as permanently rejected. In such cases, the citizen will be required to submit a fresh application, complete all procedures again, and pay the applicable fee, resulting in additional loss of time and money.

To facilitate citizens, NADRA advised the use of the Pak-Identity mobile application or the home delivery service. Through these options, applicants can receive their CNICs at home and avoid repeated visits to NADRA offices.

The authority also shared updated processing fees and timelines. Under the normal service, CNIC issuance is free of charge and completed within 15 days. Under the urgent service, citizens can receive their CNIC within 12 days by paying a fee of Rs 1,150, while the executive service allows issuance within six days for a fee of Rs 2,150.

NADRA emphasized that timely collection of CNICs is essential to avoid future legal or administrative difficulties.
